Birthstones
Birthstones are gemstones that are associated with each month of the year. Though there are many different birthstones that span many cultures, the most common birthstones are based on the Gregorian calendar. These birthstones are as follows: January- Garnet; February- Amethyst; March- Aquamarine; April- Diamond; May- Emerald; June- Pearl; July- Ruby; August- Peridot; September- Sapphire; October- Opal; November- Topaz; December- Turquoise. Birthstones are believed to bring good luck to the person wearing them and each gemstone has its own unique properties and powers.
