Rich purple amethyst creates a striking focal point against the soft glow of freshwater pearls in this distinctive 63cm semi-baroque pearl necklace.

The necklace comprises 64 freshwater cultured pearls, each approximately 8.0mm to 9.5mm in diameter. Their shapes range naturally from off-round to round, giving the strand the wonderfully individual character associated with semi-baroque pearls.

Displaying medium lustre, the pearls have a soft luminosity that beautifully complements the deeper colour of the central gemstone. Each pearl has been individually knotted, a traditional technique that helps protect the pearls from rubbing against one another while adding security to the strand.

Taking centre stage is an impressive pear-shaped amethyst cabochon measuring approximately 29mm × 22mm. Its smooth, polished surface showcases the gemstone's beautiful purple colouring, creating a bold contrast against the creamy tones of the pearls.

The amethyst is set within a silver pendant, giving the necklace a sophisticated combination of cool silver, luminous pearl and rich gemstone colour.

At approximately 63cm in length, the necklace falls beautifully below the neckline, allowing the substantial amethyst pendant to become the centrepiece of the design.
