Cultured pearls are the result of an intentional process where an irritant is introduced into a mollusc. The mollusc, in response, secretes layers of nacre that coat the irritant, eventually forming a pearl. The result is a pearl that retains all the beauty of a naturally occurring pearl but is available in more abundance and consistency.
These beautifully designed drop earrings showcase an articulated drop of a wire knot, featuring a single cut diamond illusion grain set at its centre. The earrings continue to captivate with an articulated drop of a half-drilled pear attached.
The diamonds, measuring at 1.7mm each, total up to 0.04cts and exhibit a stunning H colour grade. The true stars of these earrings, however, are the two cultured pearls, each measuring between 8.18 - 8.13mm.
