A remarkable antique circa 1900 cameo brooch, featuring a beautifully hand carved pastoral scene depicting a gentleman, lady and hound in an elegant 1700s setting.

The large oval cameo displays warm brownish-cream tones and is secured by eight split claws within a substantial 9ct yellow gold setting, acid tested for gold content. Tapered grooved cap detailing and a safety chain complete the traditional design.

Measuring an impressive 60 Ă— 46mm and weighing approximately 20.7g, this is a substantial statement cameo with wonderful detail and collector appeal.

Independently valued at $1,800 in 2021 for insurance/replacement purposes. The valuation represents replacement value and is not the selling price.
