An enchanting vintage 15ct yellow gold brooch combining the fresh green beauty of peridot with the soft lustre of seed pearls.

The elegant double-bar design is beautifully detailed, with delicate scrolling gold work creating a wonderfully feminine appearance. Two round-cut natural peridots provide vibrant touches of green, complemented by eight half seed pearls arranged through the centre of the design.

Peridot has a distinctive fresh yellow-green to green colour that comes alive in warm yellow gold. Its brightness provides a lovely contrast against the creamy lustre of the seed pearls, giving this brooch both colour and classic vintage charm.

Particularly appealing is the 15ct gold construction. This gold standard was historically used in British and Commonwealth jewellery but was discontinued as a recognised British gold standard in 1932, making surviving 15ct pieces especially evocative of an earlier era of jewellery making.

At approximately 54mm across, it has enough presence to be noticed while retaining the refined delicacy expected of traditional bar brooches.
