Forget-me-nots entered into the public mind during the 15th century through fable. It is believed by some that a German knight called out Forget-me-not as he fell into a river, when he was picking flowers with his Lady by the side of the river at the time.  The knight fell in and his armour dragged him down to the bottom. The story say’s he threw the blue posy of flowers to his loved one before he drowned.

Forget-me-nots are given or used to decorate gifts with the hope the recipient will not forget the giver. It also symbolizes faithful love and memories. In Newfoundland, Canada, the flower is worn on the 1st of July in memory of the deceased during World War I.

This ring will make a perfect addition to your Vintage Jewellery collection or gift for that special someone in your life.
