Tourmaline

Tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese word toramalli, meaning "stone with mixed colours."

This wonderful gemstone comes in a variety of colours including pin, red, green and blue. Each colour is thought to have their own healing properties. Pink is associated with compassion and gentleness. Green is for courage, stamina and strength and Black is thought to protect the wearer and provide a sense of self-confidence.

Tourmaline's are found in Brazil as well as areas in Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan. California and Maine in the United States all produce tourmaline.
