Distinctive and wonderfully collectable, these vintage 18ct yellow gold stud earrings feature the traditional Peruvian Tumi motif, creating a fascinating combination of jewellery, history and cultural-inspired design.

The Tumi is an iconic ceremonial knife associated with ancient Andean cultures, particularly the Moche, Chimú and later Inca civilisations, and its distinctive form has become an enduring symbol of Peruvian heritage.

Each earring measures approximately 15.7 x 6.8mm and is believed to have been handmade. Crafted in rich 18ct yellow gold, they are an unusual pair of pre-loved earrings with wonderful character.

The earrings were independently valued by an accredited valuer at $750 in 2020 for insurance/replacement purposes. The valuation is not the selling price – we offer our pre-loved jewellery for considerably less than comparable replacement retail value.
