A beautiful piece of jewellery history, this antique circa 1900 hand carved cameo brooch is framed in richly detailed 15ct yellow gold and depicts the elegant profile of a classical lady.

The cameo is surrounded by an ornate openwork gold frame featuring polished bead accents, twisted wire detailing and decorative cut-out work, showcasing the craftsmanship associated with jewellery of this period.

Adding to its charm is a memory locket compartment on the reverse, originally designed to hold a treasured photograph or keepsake. The brooch is completed with a traditional steel pin and C-clip fitting.

With a substantial overall weight of approximately 20g, this is an impressive antique cameo with wonderful presence and genuine heirloom appeal.
