A charming example of traditional jewellery craftsmanship, this handmade 9ct yellow gold brooch combines the delicate blue of aquamarine with the soft lustre of seed pearls in an elegant floral spray design.
At the centre, two pale blue round-cut aquamarines, weighing approximately 0.23ct and 0.09ct, form the focal points of the stylised flower spray. Two half seed pearls add a beautiful contrast of creamy lustre, while the design is framed by a graceful double-wire circular surround.
Aquamarine, named from the Latin for “water of the sea,” is admired for its fresh blue tones and is the traditional birthstone for March. Paired with pearls and warm yellow gold, it creates a wonderfully feminine vintage combination.
