DESCRIPTION:
A striking ring that has a large green jade-like vintage paste stone in a patterned yellow gold setting on a yellow gold band.
This ring is in fantastic condition and would make an amazing statement piece due to its bold design.
Made of 9ct gold the very classic paste gemstone (a heavy transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones) is a show stopper.
Glass or Paste Gemstones started to become popular from the 18th Century.
Due to the great condition of the ring, it has been a little hard to predict its age.
I have had others of this design which dated around the 1960s.

The flat tapered shank is 4.3mm - 4.9mm.
The shank runs into a 22.3mm x 17.6mm patterned mount bezel set with a 20mm x 15mm high dome cabochon of green paste.
